Bypass’s Cofounder and CCO Matthew Jackson was recently asked to speak about IP-based Geolocation issues at the APNIC41 conference APRICOT2016. You can see the video about our talk here on YouTube. Matthew speaks about Geo-location from a consumer perspective. Quote of the day was from Dean Pemberton, you can take an entire ISP and change it’s location; trying to figure out the location of a user from their IP address is like trying to discern someones physical location by the colour of their shoes.
